Advantages of Small and
Independent Practices

While practices of all sizes continue to struggle with difficulties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, many small practices and solo providers realized their small size is actually to their advantage during this time, according to Physician’s Practice. Because there are less people in the office than large group practices, independent practices are able to continuously treat patients in-person while adhering to CDC guidelines and reducing touchpoints. Like large practices, solo providers also use telemedicine or telehealth visits with their patients, in order to further reduce contact for their high risk groups.
