*IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ*

Dear Amazing Charts Client,

NOTE: If you have already completed the FDB migration process you can ignore this message.

Failure to switch to the FDB database by 10/14/24 WILL result in loss of e-prescribing functionality. We anticipate higher than normal call volumes associated with this change so failure to act may result in extended wait times from our support team.

With version 12 of Amazing Charts, we introduced a new medications database, FDB, as the current database is being discontinued by Wolters Kluwer. Originally this was going to take place on June 30th of this year, but to provide more time for our clients, we were able to secure an extension for the shutoff.

We currently are unable to obtain any further extensions and all practices who use e-prescribing services through Amazing Charts must migrate to the new FDB database by 10/14/24 as the current database will be shut down on this date. Any Amazing Charts client who has not completed this will lose electronic prescribing functionality once the current database goes offline.

This change will require clients to map all patient medications and allergies to the appropriate option in the new database. While we have automated most of the medication mapping process, you may encounter medications that map to more than one option. As an example, the medication Percocet could map to both “Percocet” and “Endocet” in FDB so it’s crucial that you select the correct medication to ensure the accuracy of your prescriptions.

You can download a step-by-step guide of how to complete this process here: Step-by-Step Medication Migration PDF

We have also created a video explaining the process that you can watch from this link: Migrating Medications Overview
