Amazing Charts is able to support customers who are participating in Traditional MIPS or MIPS Value Pathways .

What is Traditional MIPS, Alternative Payment Model (APM), and MIPS Value Pathways ?
The QPP has three tracks you can choose to participate in: the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (Traditional MIPS) , Alternative Payment Mode(APM) and MIPS Value Pathways(MVP’s).

Most of our Amazing Charts providers fall into the Traditional MIPS category. If you participate in an APM, through Medicare Part B you may earn an incentive payment. If you participate in MIPS or MVP’s you earn a positive or negative performance-based payment adjustment.

Traditional MIPS scores providers based on four categories and uses those scores to determine payments. Those four categories are:

  • Quality Measures
  • Promoting Interoperability
  • Improvement Activities
  • Cost

Clinician performance will be measured annually and will be made available to the public via CMS. MIPS and MVP payment adjustments will apply to Medicare Part B payments for every other year of attestation. Example attestation completed for 2024 the adjustments would be seen starting in 2026.
