Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) are tools which help measure and track the quality of healthcare services provided by clinicians and practices. Tracking CQMs can help keep healthcare safe, effective, efficient, patient-centered, and equitable. They measure various aspects of patient care, such as patient safety, patient engagement, care coordination, effective use of resources, and more. Reporting CQMs can also have benefits for practitioners and practices, including potentially receiving reimbursement for Meaningful Use (MU) and/or Merit-Based Payment System (MIPS) programs.
